I’m passionate about taking brands to the next level by reflecting their true personality in a well-considered and creative way

Originally from The Netherlands, I started calling Australia home since 2013. Back in Amsterdam I studied fashion & branding at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and after dipping my toes in the work force I decided to pack my bags and travel. I eventually landed in Sydney and here I’ve been developing my career in creative direction and brand design. I have been working in the creative industry for over a decade, both full time as well as freelance with a variety of design studios and agencies. During this time I have had the opportunity to work with clients and partners across the globe, from creating brand identities and packaging designs, to doing the design and creative direction of national and international campaigns.

Since 2020 I have been working at Canva and am currently the Head of design for our Content Partnerships team, which holds an international team of ~30 creatives specialising in template design, copy and strategy. In this team we focus on creating engaging template campaigns for our partnerships brands and Canva users. Here I get to combine my design knowledge with my management skills and have been able to grow and nourish this team effectively. I have been able to work with iconic brands such as Meta, NASA, TikTok, Pinterest and Disney. I pride myself on my team leadership skills, my efficient way of working and above all, bringing my considered eye for good design, not only on an aesthetic level but also on a strategic one.
